Support a Young Scientist
RYSI runs on the belief that any child, anywhere in India, deserves the chance to do real science. Your support helps us reach the next student waiting to ask their first big question.
Why support RYSI
The Raman Young Scientist Initiative reaches students in classrooms across India — in big cities and small towns alike — and invites them to learn science by doing it. Not by memorising a textbook, but by asking a question, building an experiment, and finding out what is actually true.
That kind of learning changes how a child sees the world. But reaching students at national scale — with topic kits, guidance, review and a national finals — takes real resources. That is where support makes the difference.
What your support enables
- Reach — bringing RYSI to more schools and more students, including those with the fewest opportunities for hands-on science.
- Materials — topic kits and guidance so that every nominee can actually run their experiment, not just read about it.
- Mentorship & review — supporting educators and scientists who guide students and evaluate projects fairly across stages.
- The finals — making it possible for finalists from across the country to present their work and be celebrated.
